Child Safety Standards
Applies to the Lumecast app on iOS and Android
Lumecast is a live-streaming platform for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. Content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors results in immediate removal, a permanent ban, and referral to the relevant authorities.
1Adults only, by design
- Lumecast is restricted to users aged 17 and older. Age is declared at signup, and accounts of suspected minors are removed.
- Store listings carry the corresponding age ratings on the App Store and Google Play.
2Prohibited content and behaviour
The following are prohibited without exception, in live video, chat, messages, profiles and imagery:
- CSAM in any form, real or synthetic — including AI-generated, drawn, or animated material;
- sexualisation of minors, or content presenting adults as minors in sexual contexts;
- grooming, sextortion, solicitation of minors, or attempts to move minors to private channels;
- sharing of personal information about minors.
3Prevention and enforcement
- Automated moderation screens every chat message in every cast in real time. Severe violations are removed within seconds and automatically escalated for human review.
- In-app reporting is available to every user from every live cast. Reports capture evidence — a screenshot and the chat transcript — so moderators review what the reporter actually saw.
- Human moderation reviews reports and can end any broadcast, remove any participant, and suspend accounts immediately. Suspensions escalate to permanent bans, and banned users' active sessions are revoked on all devices.
- Users who appear on camera as guests are subject to the same moderation, reporting and enforcement as broadcasters.
4Reporting to authorities
When we become aware of CSAM or CSAE on the platform, we preserve the evidence, remove the content, permanently ban the account, and report to the relevant authorities — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Australian law enforcement (the ACCCE) as applicable — and cooperate with lawful requests from law-enforcement agencies.
5How to report
In the app: open the ⋯ menu in any cast and choose Report. It is reviewed by our moderation team.
